Rick Reitzel joined the NBC4 staff as digital journalist in January 2010.

Rick came to WCMH-TV in April 1994 where he was a photojournalist for more than 17 years.

Rick received a bachelor's degree in mass media communications from the University of Illinois in Springfield.

Rick said the most memorable story he covered was the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 in New York City.

If he weren't working in TV, Rick said he would be in the field of nature photography.

He said his first job was stocking shelves and bagging groceries at a grocery store.

Rick is a biking advocate and is involved with Columbus Outdoor Pursuits.

Rick lives in Columbus with his wife Jan. They have one son.
