Head-On Collision In Union County Claims One Life

Union County sheriff deputies are investigating a head-on collision that claimed one life Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies say they received multiple 911 calls at about 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, regarding a head-on collision on SR 31 south of SR 739 in Byhalia between a 1985 white semi tractor-trailer and a 2011 GMC box truck.

Theodore Yocum, 67, of Lewistown and Donald Cummings, 52, of Columbus, were both transported by Medflight to the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.  Their conditions are unknown.

Jack Moore, 35, of Ashland, Kentucky was transported to Memorial Hospital in Union County where he was pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation.
