Franklin County Coroner, Dr. Anahi M. Ortiz has identified the fourth woman in the crash Sunday that killed another and injured two more.
According to Ortiz, 30-year-old Desiree Reed was the woman sitting in the passenger seat in a vehicle that crashed on Interstate 70, at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
Columbus police said 31-year-old Melita Briggs was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty westbound on I-70 between I-270 and Hamilton Road, when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line.
The vehicle then struck the guardrail in the median and hit a support pole of an overhead sign with the passenger side front door.
The vehicle then caught on fire from the impact, and Reed, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was trapped inside.
Police said a passerby was able to pull 27-year-old Candis Brown out of the Jeep and 22-year-old Joslin Winborn, who had been ejected, from underneath the vehicle.
Firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished the fire, but Reed and Winborn were pronounced dead at the scene.
Briggs was taken to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition and Brown was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.
