Four people have been hospitalized after a crash on state Route 38 Tuesday evening.
According to a report, at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday Dennis L. Merritt II, 21, of Washington Court House, was driving northeast on State Route #38 near Bloomingburg-New Holland Road when he lost control of his Lincoln Continental.
The vehicle hit a guardrail, went through a ditch, and into a field where it partially overturned. Merritt and a rear seat passenger, Frandral L. Kelly, 43, of Washington Court House, who were not wearing seat belts, were thrown from the vehicle.
The two other passengers, Chana D. Moore, 36, and Heather A. Holloway, 35, both from Washington Court House were also injured in the crash.
All four were taken to local hospitals. The sheriff’s department did not state the extent of the crash victim’s injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
