One woman was critically injured in a shooting near the Ohio State University campus Monday evening.

Columbus medics transported a 22-year-old woman to a local hospital after reports of a shooting before 9 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Summit Street, just south of East 11th Avenue.

Police believe the woman wandered to a nearby Marathon gas station before collapsing in the parking lot.

Medics said the woman was transported to an area hospital in life-threatening condition after being shot in the chest. She is expected to survive.

Columbus police, stationed near a home in the area, are investigating the incident. They did not have a motive or suspect by Monday night.
