Police: Gas Station Robber Wore "Michael Myers" Mask (Image 1)

An armed man robbed a southeast Columbus gas station early Thursday morning, according to Columbus police.

The robbery was reported around 1:30 Thursday morning at the Thorntons station at 3900 Alum Creek Drive.

Detectives said a man wearing a white mask demanded money and cigarettes from two clerks while showing a handgun.

After the clerks complied, the suspect ran from the store.

Police described the suspect as a white male between 25 and 30 years old standing 5’9″ and weighing around 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a Michael Myers mask, black jeans and tan work boots.

Police ask that anyone with information call Columbus police at 645-4665 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 461-TIPS(8477).
