Police have charged a woman with murder in connection with a shooting that killed two people in July of 2014.
According to Columbus police, Sophia Childs, 32, was arrested for her role in a shooting that killed Robert D. Bass and Cherod D. Houchins on July 28, 2014.
Childs was taken into custody by SWAT Wednesday evening.
According to court documents, Childs had a dispute with a person who was at 85 Stevens Avenue. After making a few phone calls, police said that Childs drove over to the east side of Columbus and picked up two men.
Childs then dropped the men off near 85 Stevens Avenue, where they went in the back and started shooting, police said.
According to police, Childs then picked the men up again a few blocks away and drove them away from the scene.
Childs is charged with two counts of murder. She is expected to appear in court Thursday morning.
