OSU’s Smith Drafted By Jets In 2nd Round

Devin Smith was invited to Chicago for the NFL Draft, but he had to wait an extra day to learn where he will play this coming season.

Smith was drafted by the New York Jets Friday night in the 2nd round of the draft. Smith was the 37th overall selection, the 5th pick in the 2nd round of the draft.

He was the first Buckeye drafted this year. Smith caught 12 touchdown passes in his senior season and during his Ohio State career in games where he caught a touchdown pass Ohio State never lost (22-0).

Smith was projected by some analysts as a first round pick.
