Dust Devil Wreaks Havoc At California Market

Video shot Sunday afternoon shows a dust devil wreaking havoc on a local market in California.

It happened in Palm Springs around 2 p.m. Sunday.

According to NBC News, the dust devil grows in size with little warning and damages several tents, vehicles and other property.

No injuries were reported.

A dust devil forms when heated air at ground level rises and as the circulation becomes smaller, the rotation of air becomes faster, creating a tornado-like effect.
