Police say that a man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning at a home on North Roosevelt Avenue in Columbus.
Shortly before 4 a.m., police say that the victim’s son called 911 and said his dad had been shot.
The man, later identified as Kieta C. Smith was pronounced dead on the scene by medics.
Police identified a person of interest, 36-year-old Sherrod Larry-Donnell Gamble. Investigators say he may be armed and dangerous.
According to court documents, there was a fight between Gamble and Smith before the shooting.
Police consider Gamble to be armed and dangerous and caution against approaching him. Anyone seeing Gamble is asked to call 911.
