James D. Suttles is in custody after police say he robbed a Short North area bank.

The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Huntington Bank on the 800 block of North High Street.

According to Columbus police, Suttles jumped over the counter, demanded money and put it in a Crown Royal duffle bag.

He was caught a short distance from the bank.

A police dispatcher said an officer asked for a medic to come and check him out, but did not specify the extent of any injuries.
