A man was injured after being shot multiple times Saturday afternoon on the city’s east side.

Columbus police say three people were in an SUV around 4 p.m. Saturday near Hallidon Avenue and Bolivar Street when a man walked up to the vehicle and opened fire. 

A 20-year-old man was hit multiple times in the left arm. He and two other people ran from the area before winding up at Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the victim also struck a parked car while attempting to flee in the vehicle.

Officials have not released any information about a suspect as they continue to investigate the incident.
