Robyn Haines

Robyn Haines is the host of Daytime Columbus on NBC4.

Robyn joined the NBC4 team in Feb. 2012 after working as a reporter and a morning anchor for WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, OH, and most recently as a morning anchor for WWTV in Cadillac, MI.

1991096_GShe obtained her B.S. in Journalism at Ohio University.

Robyn’s professional achievements include two Ohio Associated Press awards for her reporting and a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for her “Small Survivors” special series, which featured two young children battling cancer.

For her most memorable story, Robyn traveled to Slidell, LA, after Hurricane Katrina. She remembers the family she profiled saying, “You just gotta keep on keepin’ on” as they looked at the rubble that used to be their home.

If she weren’t a part of the NBC4 team, Robyn says she would be a greeting card writer.

Robyn’s first job was piercing ears at Afterthoughts at the Great Lakes Mall. (She says only missed a couple of times … )

She lives in Hilliard with her husband, Tom and son Tommy.

Robyn’s pet is a fish named Chance. She says they met when Robyn was diagnosed with breast cancer — it marked her second chance at life. It did the same for Chance because she saved him from Wal-Mart.
