Verne Troyer, known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers’ movies, shared his video of an incident at LAX airport where a man was arrested using a Taser.

According to a spokesperson with the TSA, at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, 21-year-old Christian James Heinz refused to be screened by TSA agents, and after airport police were called to assist, Heinz continued to refuse to cooperate.

Troyer, who was in the airport at the time to fly to Columbus, noticed the drama and began getting video on his cellphone.

“I heard something going through the airport as I was going to my gate and there was one cop chasing one guy down. [He] wasn’t really chasing but walking him down and he told him to get down several times he didn’t do it.”

The officer followed Heinz, stopped him and tried to handcuff him.  Heinz again refused to cooperate, twisted away from the officer and made his way toward the gate in the terminal, according to the spokesperson.

“I don’t know if he was on something or what it was, but he wasn’t acting normal,” said Troyer.

The Airport Police officer gave Heinz verbal instructions, telling him to stop and get on the ground.  Heinz allegedly ignored the orders and that’s when the officer used the Taser. Heinz was then taken into custody.

“As soon as they got up to the stairs that’s when I heard the Taser go off and it’s almost like a gunshot.”

Heinz was arrested and police continue to investigate the incident.
