A veteran from Newark has returned home after being reported missing since Monday after leaving an ominous message on his Facebook page.

According to the Newark Police Department, Edward Charles Rhyan was first reported missing by his wife Monday.

Police said Rhyan returned home safely Tuesday.

Rhyan, was originally reported missing from his home in the 600 block of Evans Street, between six and 7 a.m. Monday.

Police said Rhyan left the message, “Goodbye. I’m done.” on his Facebook page before he was reported missing.
