Students were evacuated Tuesday at Watkins Memorial High School after a bomb threat was received.

According to a spokesperson with the Southwest Licking Schools District, students were moved to the football stadium at Watkins Memorial
High School while officials investigated a bomb threat.

Watkins Middle School was also been placed on a level one lockdown as a precaution.

According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, the school received an electronic threat that said multiple bombs would be detonated in the school.

Deputies searched the school, vehicles, and the outside perimeter of the grounds with bomb dogs and later determined to be safe.

School officials released students at both schools at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday as a result of the threat.

Deputies continue to investigate the threat but no arrests have been made.
