Thieves have stolen puppies from two Petland stores in central Ohio, a company representative said.JR Badger, director of company stores, said thieves stole an Old English bulldog Saturday and a Yorkshire terrier Monday from the store off of Hilliard Rome Road.

Badger said a woman walked out of the store with the dog in her purse.

He said the Petland on Bethel Road had an English bulldog stolen Saturday night and another English bulldog stolen Sunday night.

“Our number one concern is that these puppies are just babies and we want to make sure they are well taken care of and returned,” Badger said in an email.

He says Columbus Police took reports, but they have not identified these people as suspects.
