The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office arrested Russell Senig Sunday evening, according to a press release.
In May, Senig eluded deputies after the Licking County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a car he was in.
Senig was wanted for the probation violations stemming from domestic violence and robbery convictions.
There was a brief chase into Fairfield County after Senig jumped from his vehicle and hid in the woods.
At that time he was noted to be armed and dangerous. Family members reported Senig was threatening he would not be taken alive and making verbal threats towards law enforcement.
Senig was at the Red Roof Inn on Brice Road in Columbus. Deputies, along with the Columbus Police Department SWAT Team, took Senig into custody along with several others without incident. No one was injured.
Upon book-in deputies recovered several small bags of what appears to be methamphetamines on his person, according to the release.
