Dan Pearlman

Dan Pearlman joined the NBC4 staff as digital journalist in June 2014.

A native of Cincinnati, Dan served as a reporter for KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Okla., and KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Neb. He was also a production assistant and field producer at WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.

Dan received his bachelor’s degrees in political science and broadcast journalism. He was awarded the Heartland Regional Emmy in 2013 for coverage of a massive school fire that destroyed a building.

Dan said the most memorable story he covered occurred when he was one of the first reporters in Moore, Okla., after a deadly EF-5 tornado. He spent five days covering the aftermath.

Dan also said another memorable story was the case of a Tulsa-area dentist who was accused of exposing his more than 7,000 patients to hepatitis and HIV.

If he weren’t working in TV, Dan said he would be working in politics, or possibly running a political campaign.

He said his first job was as a camp counselor in high school, but he also spent four summers working at Kings Island.
