Police believe they have identified the man who played a role in a deadly shooting on the city’s southwest side.
Columbus police named Joviyon S. Turner as one of the suspect involved in a shooting that took place Sunday afternoon at 1425 Demorest Drive.
Investigators said two victims, 22-year-old Raheem T. Dearmond and 25-year-old Toure E. Benton, drove to a United Dairy Farmers at 3535 Clime Road after a shooting at 1425 Demorest Drive. Both were seriously injured from gunshot wounds. Dearmond was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Benton remains in the hospital.

Police said two male suspects fled the scene after the shooting. Police said the investigation is ongoing. A second suspect has not been identified.
Turner, 18, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
