Water is shut off at Pickaway Correctional Institution after a water main break.
A representative from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections said an 8-inch water main broke earlier Saturday morning, affecting the drinking water in the 2,100-population facility. The break is only affecting PCI inmates and staff.
Officials said repairs are underway at the institution. The water is expected to be up and running by Sunday afternoon. Drinking water is being brought in until the repairs are complete.
Showers, toilets and sinks are still operational, according to the ODRC representative.
