The second suspect in a southwest Columbus homicide has been taken into custody.
Columbus police said Joviyon S. Turner, who has an warrant issued for murder in connection with a shooting on Demorest Road on June 7, was arrested in Steubenville without incident.
Police said a second suspect, Christopher Prater, turned himself in on June 10. Prater was also charged with murder according to police.
The two are accused of shooting two men, killing one in the 1400 block of Demorest Road on June 7, after an altercation according to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers investigators. The victims drove to the United Dairy Farmers on Clime Road where they waited for medics.
Raheem T. Dearmond was shot twice in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man, Toure E. Benton, was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being shot in the neck. He was later upgraded to stable.
