Firefighter burned in early morning fire

Officials say they believe the fire started in the attic.

A Columbus firefighter was injured while fighting a fire on the west side of the city Monday morning.

Fire officials say no one was home when fire broke out at the duplex at 79 Dana Avenue.

Firefighters were called to the home just after 5:30 a.m.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor burns.
