COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Pickerington police say they are looking for a woman who allegedly stole a French bulldog puppy named Marcus from Petland–and they say they believe it is connected to a robbery in Dublin.
In the Dublin robbery, a press release states, a woman carrying a large tote was caught on video surveillance stealing a 15-week-old male French bulldog puppy named Nemo.
Petland employees from both stores reported that on Sunday, a woman covered head to toe in a black burka with a tattoo on her hand came into the store and asked to see the puppies. As seen in video surveillance, the suspect took the puppy and when the pet counselor wasn’t looking placed the puppies in a bag and promptly exited the stores.
The whole incident was caught on the store’s surveillance video and reported to the police.
When she was alone in the fish section in Dublin, she can be seen adjusting the dog and making sure it’s in a bag.
These are pictures of them; Marcus is mostly white with a black head, Nemo mostly black with a white stripe down his chest.
The puppies have been implanted with microchips which are registered to the stores. Lost pet alerts have been issued by petkey.org alerting the pet community that Nemo and Marcus have been stolen.
