Man injured after 40-foot fall near Mad River Mountain

ZANESFIELD (WCMH) — Officials are investigating after a man was struck by falling debris near Mad River Mountain Tuesday afternoon.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said a 61-year-old man was cutting a limb from a tree near Sugarbush Way in Zanesfield. The limb shifted back and hit the man, knocking him from the ladder he was working on. He fell 40 feet, hit the ground, and was struck with the branch he was cutting.

Officials said the man was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
