Cancer won’t stop high school swimmer

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Hailey Cannaday, a junior at Whetstone High School, defines courage and determination. A year ago, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that almost took her left leg. The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her ultimate wish to meet and swim with the most decorated Olympic medalist of all-time, Michael Phelps. He inspires her and Hailey’s determination to rehabilitate her leg and return to competition for high school swim team this year, stands as an inspiration.
