Divers discovered the body 100 yards north of where the body of his brother, Anthony Martin, was found the day before in the Olentangy River near the state Route 315 and Interstate 670 ramps.

One of the brothers lost his balance while wading in the Olentangy River on Saturday. Both brothers disappeared after the 2nd brother attempted to save him.

Childhood friend Ricky Myers said the two brothers always made those around them happier.

“When you were around those two guys, you would always laugh and just be happy. That’s what they did best,” said Myers. “Every time they were around, we would just all be happy and glad to have such an amazing friendship with the two. I couldn’t have ever asked for two better people, like Anthony and Joseph to be friends with.”
