Here’s where to celebrate National Hot Dog Day

National Hot Dog Day is Thursday, July 23.

Thursday is National Hot Dog Day, and we’re helping you celebrate. Here’s where to get free or low-priced hot dogs:

  • Sonic is offering $1 hot dogs and chili cheese dogs all day.
  • Stop at Pilot Flying J with a coupon (which will be posted to the store’s social media accounts Thursday morning) and receive a free Oscar Meyer hot dog.
  • You can get a quarter-pound hot dog for $1 at 7-Eleven, according to The Daily Meal. You may have to travel for this deal, the closest 7-Eleven to Columbus is in Mansfield.

If a bargain-basement hot dog isn’t your style, DareDevil Dogs in the Short North is offering a discount.

For $5.00, you can get any of DareDevil Dogs’ specialty dogs, including the best selling Fire Eater.

The Fire Eater includes a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Brat, Sriracha-Orange Buffalo Sauce, Shaved Celery, Shaved Red Onion, Blue Cheese Aioli and is served on a Challah Bun.

While they are not advertising any Hot Dog Day specials, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace in Downtown Columbus was recently ranked 14th in a list of the country’s top 40 hot dog joints by Foursquare.
