UPDATE: Boil alert lifted for western Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) –The boil alert in effect for Franklin County water customers near Broad Street west of I-270 has been lifted.  Water service has been restored, and the water is safe for drinking.

The boil alert was issued on Monday for the area near Broad Street between Hilliard-Rome Road and I-270 following a water main break.  Some customers were without water for part of the day, while most in the area only experienced reduced pressure.  Repairs to the break, initially caused by a contractor working on an Ohio Department of Transportation project, have been completed, and no further disruption is expected.

Franklin County customers may call 614-525-3940 between 8am and 5pm, M-F, or the after-hours emergency number, 614-525-2365, with any questions regarding this issue.
