CALEDONIA (WCMH) — A motorcyclist was injured in a serious-injury crash Tuesday morning in Marion County.
Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said 23-year-old Travis E. Wolford of Galion was riding his motorcycle westbound on State Route 309 when a vehicle pulled out in front of him, launching him off the bike.
Wolford was taken by medical helicopter to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Troopers said Maureen E. Welch, 71, of Caledonia, was the at-fault driver. They believe she attempted to make a left turn onto Main Street and failed to yield at the intersection.
Welch reported no injuries in the collision. He was wearing a safety belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
