Shooting victim collapses after crashing into condo complex

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man was shot before crashing his car into a condo complex and collapsing on a nearby porch, police say.

According to Columbus police, it all happened shortly before 2 a.m. at the Mason Village condominium complex on Mason Village Court in Columbus.

IMG_2375Investigators say a man crashed his car into a condo unit and then ran from the crash scene. He eventually collapsed on a porch outside an apartment at the nearby Kimberly Meadows apartment complex.

Police later determined that the man had been shot while driving before the crash.

Medics took the man to an area hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds. The man’s condition was described as stable.

A person who was sleeping inside the condominium unit at the time of the crash was not injured.

Police continue to investigate this incident. NBC4 will update the story as more information is learned.
