COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A report of a woman being held against her will prompted SWAT to force entry into a west side home overnight.
Columbus SWAT officers say they were forced to enter the home early Wednesday after residents would not cooperate.
Neighbors near the 800 block of Regina Court called police after hearing a woman screaming inside the home. The callers believed the woman was being held against her will.
Before SWAT arrived, police heard one gunshot fired inside the home.
Police asked the people inside to come out peacefully before SWAT forced entry into the home.
Police found two men and one woman in the basement. The three people were handcuffed.
The woman had a warrant out for her arrest and was taken into custody. The two men were released pending lab results.
