Two arrested in Pike County for burglary

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) – The Pike County Sheriff said Zachary Atencio and Haley Gregory were arrested Wednesday on charges stemming out of an active burglary.

A release from the sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the 3400 block of Long Road and apprehended Atencio, 31, of Waverly and Gregory, 23, of Jeffersonville.

Deputies located a large amount of stolen scrap metal, aluminum cans and copper wiring in the vehicle the suspects were using. They also located drug paraphernalia containing some white powder in the vehicle.

Deputies also learned of another property the suspects may have stolen from. Atencio went to the Scioto County Jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and five outstanding warrants. The sheriff’s office said he and Gregory are facing multiple charges of breaking and entering, and their cases will be presented to the Pike County Jury.
