COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Employers from 65 companies will be hoping to hire veterans at RecruitMilitary’s job fair on Thursday.
The job fair will help veterans who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life.
This is RecruitMilitary’s largest job fair in Columbus with 400 veterans already signed up.
Doug Turner is a marine who was a First Sergeant for 24 years. He went to a RecruitMilitary job fair in 2014. He now has a job with RecruitMilitary and encourages all veterans to make time for the job fair.
The available jobs range from tech operations, customer service, healthcare, education and sales.
Kyle Chadwich from Nationwide Children’s Hospital said the company has 600 openings.
Marcey McDonald said NCH launched an initiative in 2015 to hire more veterans.
Patrick Lane from Rumpke said his company is also looking to hire those who have served our country.
Christine Thomas from Woda Management Real Estate said her company is also focused on hiring veterans today.
The job fair is from 11 a.m – 3 p.m. at the Huntington Club at Ohio Stadium.
Parking is available at the Tuttle Garage and parking vouchers will be given inside the event.
