Second victim in Delaware crash dies

DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) — Officials said a second person involved in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 has died.

Delaware City police said 82-year-old Anthony A. Marsello, of Delaware, died after a semi-trailer struck an SUV, shutting down the highway for several hours Sunday afternoon. He was flown to OSU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police has also released the name of the woman killed, 78-year-old Nancy J. Marsello of Delaware. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The semi driver, Jeremy M. Sloan, 33, of Sugarcreek, had minor injuries and was not transported.

According to police, the semi continued through a red light before striking the SUV on the driver’s side. Charges are pending in this incident.
