Bicyclist struck by vehicle on Livingston Avenue dies

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Livingston Avenue (U.S. 33) has reopened near Kelton Avenue after a bicyclist was struck and killed Tuesday afternoon.

A child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after the accident, as well.

Columbus police said the bicyclist pulled out in front of a car heading westbound on Livingston Avenue. The collision launched the victim into the air. Police said the victim was pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center on Tuesday.

Police identified the victim as 54-year-old Stanley D. Richards.

The road was reopened Tuesday evening.
