COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say nobody was injured when a car slammed into the side of a credit union early Friday morning.
The crash happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. at the Kemba Financial Credit Union near the intersection of East Broad Street and McNaughten Road.
According to police, the car went off the road, through a parking lot and then into the side of the building. The corner of the building appeared to be badly damaged.
Police believe the driver fell asleep at the wheel. He was cited for failure to control.
The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries, but later went to an area hospital to be evaluated.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
