Firefighters contain second alarm fire at warehouse in Groveport

Firefighters responded to a second-alarm fire Tuesday morning at a warehouse in Groveport.

GROVEPORT, Ohio (WCMH)-Firefighters responded to a second-alarm fire Tuesday morning at a warehouse in Groveport.

According to Columbus firefighters, at about 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, a fire was reported at a warehouse in the 6200 block of Opus Drive. Shortly after firefighters arrived, the fire was upgraded to a second-alarm because of the size of the building.

Firefighters said cardboard and batteries caught fire in a racking system near the middle of the building.

No injuries were reported and the firefighters were able to contain the fire.

No information was available on what caused the fire.
