5 more districts go back to school

Westerville, Fairfield Union, Pickerington, Teays Valley and Buckeye Valley, your turn!

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) — More than 15,000 students headed back to class in the Westerville City Schools District Thursday.

New to the district this school year is the addition of an all-day kindergarten program.

Ten all-day classes are now offered throughout the district.

Four of those classes are being housed in Longfellow Elementary, a building that was not being used at all last year.

Tuition for the full day program is $3,000 per student.

Kids who wish to attend all-day kindergarten are selected through a lottery process.

The district still offers it’s tuition free half-day kindergarten program.
