US 62 reopen after vehicle crashes into pole

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — According to officials U.S. 62 was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the scene of a vehicle accident.

An AEP Ohio representative said a vehicle crash on the state route, just south of Alkire Road and north of Interstate 270, was shut down after a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole.

About 4,300 were without power in the area according to AEP. Power was restored early Saturday morning.

A representative from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said that according to ODOT the road reopened about 1:00 a.m. Saturday between Red Rock Boulevard and Blue Rock Boulevard.
