CENTRAL OHIO (WCMH) — Nearly four years ago, a man was gunned down outside a Columbus nightclub.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is asking for witnesses to come forward in an unsolved homicide dating back to the fall of 2011.
Investigators said Rodriquez Dukes was fatally shot outside what was Mitch’s II on October 13, 2011 just before 11 p.m. Dukes was leaving the club when two unidentified subjects ambushed and shot him. Surveillance video captured the two subjects approaching the entry door and looking inside before walking away.
One suspect is spotted leaving the scene in a dark-colored sedan parked across the entrance of the club. A second suspect was seen walking in the opposite direction and eventually went to the same car as the first suspect.
Investigators said there were several people in the parking lot and several more spotted exiting the building, but none have made themselves known or made statements to law enforcement to help further the case.
The first suspect is described as a black man who wore a light-colored hoodie with stripes on the hood, jeans and tennis shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male with lighter complexion, wearing a light-colored baseball cap with a dark bill, dark hoodie jacket and jeans. The second suspect also has a physical impairment and walks with a severe dragging-type limp. Surveillance photos of the suspects can be viewed at www.stopcrime.org.
