Teenager in South Carolina recovering after possible shark attack

 

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WCBD) — A teenager in South Carolina is recovering after possibly being bitten by a shark.

Assistant Chief J.R. Haney with Murrells Inlet – Garden City Fire Rescue says the department responded to an area near Waccamaw Drive in Murrells Inlet on Wednesday, August 20 at 12:26pm.

Officials located a 15-year-old teenager with bite marks to the leg and hand from a marine animal.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
