Woman wears different wigs to cash stolen checks, police say

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police in Columbus and Upper Arlington are looking for a woman accused of cashing stolen checks.

According to Columbus police, the woman presented a stolen check in the amount of $2,000 at the drive-up ATM of Kemba Financial Credit Union at 6230 East Broad Street on July 22.

Police say she became alarmed and sped off in a Lexus with a stolen license plate, DHC 9452.

Upper Arlington police say a person believed to be the same suspect, but wearing a different wig presented stolen checks within Upper Arlington as well.

Upper Arlington police say she was driving a silver Lexus with different stolen plates.

Police ask that anyone with information call Columbus police at 645-2407 or email mperry@columbuspolice.org.
