Suspicious package closes High Street

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A dispatcher for Ohio State Highway Patrol said High street was shut down between Broad St. and State St. Monday due to a “situation.”

The Columbus Bomb Squad said a suspicious package was found on the west lawn of the Statehouse. The package was not found to be dangerous.

High Street has since reopened.
