MORROW COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — Troopers suspect alcohol played a factor in the death of a 22-year-old man Monday morning.
Ohio Highway Patrol officials said Zachary T. Sahr, of Mount Gilead, was pronounced dead at the scene after falling from an all-terrain vehicle onto a roadway.
Investigators said the ATV, driven by Justin Hoffman, 22, of Marion, was eastbound on County Road 137 north of Cardington at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Troopers said Sahr, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, fell off the vehicle onto the roadway and sustained fatal injuries.
Tthis is the third ATV-related fatality on public roadways in Morrow County in the last two years, according to the Mount Gilead Patrol Post.
