COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Kids fighting cancer in Columbus got a special musical treat from a famous pop singer on Sunday.

Singer Rachel Platten was in town for the ‘Fashion Meets Music Festival’ and stopped by Nationwide Children’s Hospital to give a private performance.

Platten is best known for her hit-single ‘Fight Song.’ It’s a song that resonates with many of the cancer patients.

Alessandra Schutte, who was diagnosed with neurblastoma at age three, was at the concert.

Her mother Heidi wrote on Facebook, “Rachel Platten came to the hospital today to sing & inspire the kids! My girls were so excited!! Ali can’t stop singing Fight Song & Analise got her autograph on her cast! …So great that she could take time to put a smile on their faces & forget about cancer for a little while.”
