Sixteen arrested in Marion during ‘Operation Summer Clearance’

MARION, Ohio (WCMH)–Sixteen people were arrested Wednesday in Marion after law enforcement officers searched four homes and served eight arrest warrants.

Officials also found about $10,000 in cash and seized drugs and several weapons.

At 1127 Bermuda Drive, detectives seized approximately 45 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 14.6 grams of heroin, approximately 4.9 grams of marijuana, 25 Suboxone Strips and $175 in cash.

At 305 Libby Lane, detectives seized 1 gram of heroin and $1,510 in cash. At 305 Libby Lane, they seized 21 bindles of heroin and $475 in cash.

At apartment N at 363 Executive Drive, detectives seized approximately 58.9 grams of heroin, approximately 249.2 grams of marijuana, 28 Vicodin pills, 6 Perocet, 5 Xanex, 20 grams of Butane Honey Oil and numerous packages of marijuana infused food items. Detectives also seized $8,365 in cash and an AK-47 Assault Rifle, a 9mm Taurus handgun and a 410 Taurus Handgun.

Over 20 law enforcement officers from Marion Municipal Probation, Marion County Adult Probation, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification (BCI&I), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) joined MARMET detectives.
