UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WCMH)–Kitchen Kapers is hosting its 28th annual Tour of Homes in Upper Arlington this Sunday, September 13 from noon to 5p.m. The tour features seven homes in Upper Arlington, showcasing newly renovated kitchens, outdoor spaces, and gorgeous designs.
“They can talk to builders, get ideas on colors, cabinet colors and counter top surfaces,” said Kara Rappolt, President of Kitchen Kapers.
All the money raised goes to support the art therapy program at Riverside Methodist Hospital’s Bing Cancer Center. The program provides art therapy to cancer patients and supports their treatment.
“You see people relax and you see their shoulders go down and then all of a sudden they have this release,” said Jen McHale, an art therapist at Bing Cancer Center who helps patients relax, renew and find comfort through art.
“You’re not trying to compete or measure up or produce. You’re just zoning out and enjoying it, and to saying enjoying and chemo together…that doesn’t happen very often,“ said Ann Myers as she received her infusion of cancer drugs while she colored a picture.
Kitchen Kapers tickets can be purchased in advance for $25, or at any of the tour homes on Sunday for $30. Click here for more information: Kitchen Kapers
