Second-alarm fire knocked down in east Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — More than 30 fire-response vehicles were called out to a second-alarm fire in east Columbus Wednesday night.

Columbus firefighters responded to a report of a two-story apartment complex fire in the 4200 block of Vineshire Lane just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. A second alarm was issued minutes later.

Crews were able to knock down the fire in about 20 minutes.

One unit was considered a total loss. Three other units had some reported damage. No one has been reported injured, but five adults and six children are being assisted by Red Cross agents at the scene.
