Classes are scheduled to resume for North Fork Local Schools students, on Monday.
Last week, investigators said school administrators received two letters, both of which made threats toward interracial couples. The threats prompted school leaders to cancel Friday’s homecoming football game, dance and subsequent activities. Classes were also cancelled.
Superintendent Scott Hartley wrote in a letter, last week, that teachers will remain extra vigilant and there will be a police presence in both the high school and junior high campuses.
Neighbors of the high school said they have noticed more officers in the area.
“The cops have been around here a lot more,” said Andrew Gayheart. “I believe it’s in good hands.”
Investigators, including members of the FBI, continue their search for suspects.
No arrests have been made.
